IT Technician | Japanese IT Consulting Company

A Japanese IT consulting firm in the Culver City area of Los Angeles is looking for an IT Technician to join their team.

This is a 6-month contract position. If your performance is recognized after 6 months, you may be considered for full-time employment,
(Please note that permanent employment is subject to change based on company conditions and decisions.)

Please note that this is an immediate opening. The start day will be immediate after the interview.

The job is a hybrid position.
You will work from the office in Culver City for 2 days and remotely for the remaining 3 days.

Please note that this is a bilingual position with the ability to work in both Japanese and English.

<Dispatch Information>
The company currently has approximately 20 staff in the U.S. and plans to increase the number of staff over the next few years.
They are looking for an IT engineer to provide network implementation and maintenance support to set up and troubleshoot PCs and smart phones for their new office.

 

<Job Description>

  • PC/Smartphones: Setup and troubleshooting/day-to-day support for client staff; PCs are primarily Windows and martphones are primarily iPhones, but also BYoL devices. The devices run the M365 application and Cato VPN (Cato VPN does not work on BYoL devices).
  • Provide assistance with Intune device registration or account creation.
  • Support for installation of Cato VPN software. The M365 tenant is managed by the Japanese side of the client.
  • PC/Smartphone troubleshooting support when issues arise. *Only Tier 1 support is required.
  • Request help from the client’s Japan team as needed when issues related to M365 or Cato VPN arise. Jira and Confluence are used for devices.
  • Network: installation work and operational support
    Two new offices will be opened in the Bay Area or Los Angeles area in the near future.
    The network design for the new offices will be done by the Japanese side of the client. Someone who can support the implementation from the U.S. side is needed.
  • After the implementation, you will be providing troubleshooting support.

<Requirements>

  • Business level English and Japanese are required to work with the client’s Japanese IT team.
  • Must be able to work on-site for 2 days a week. The rest of the week will be remote support.
  • Must be able to start working immediately.
