Sales Associate | Japanese Food Trading

We are looking for a Sales Associate to join a major Japanese food trading company located in Denver, Colorado.

The mission of the Sales Associate is to establish, maintain, and develop business, social, and civic relationships with clients. Success in this role is measured by a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics, along with excellent interpersonal skills to achieve both short-term and long-term sales goals. This is accomplished by maintaining existing clients within the assigned area.

No prior experience required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Visit client and potential client facilities, providing necessary information and support to secure and maintain business.
  • Establish, maintain, and develop business, social, and civic relationships with clients in the assigned area to achieve maximum profitability.
  • Responsible for selling products to all clients within the assigned area.
  • Forecast client needs, find appropriate solutions to business problems, and provide a high level of customer service to grow the business.
  • Understand and implement price adjustments based on sales plans and management instructions.
  • Communicate plans to clients and effectively manage resources to support sales volume.
  • Relay information on new products and services, opportunities, and feedback gathered from field activities to appropriate company staff.
  • Work with the accounting department to ensure the collection of accounts receivable.
  • Assist in setting sales goals for the assigned area by collaborating with the (Associate) Area Team Manager or (Assistant) Sales Manager.
  • Work with allocated operations and logistics staff to achieve sales goals for the assigned area.
  • Report field activities in a timely manner to support business and product planning.
  • Submit sales activity reports and other necessary reports as required.
  • Participate in quarterly inventory counts.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
  • Chinese or Korean and English are required.

Education/Experience/Training:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • 1-2 years of sales experience in the Asian food industry preferred
  • Knowledge of food products and services
  • Basic computer skills (including experience with word processing software)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with sales staff, management, and clients
  • Strong communication and conversational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and as part of a team
  • Ability to quickly and accurately verify, draft, and update databases
  • Ability to travel to client locations
  • Ability to learn Oracle ERP software
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under various time constraints
  • Ability to manage duties according to fluctuating work volumes and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Outgoing, courteous, sincere, and approachable
  • Confident, mature, and positive attitude towards work

給与Salary $45,200 ~ $60,200 (based on experience) + bonus ranging from 0 – 55% of their salary + mileage reimbursement.
