Outside Sales|Major Japanese soup and seasoning manufacturer

A major Japanese soup and seasoning manufacturer in Fort Lee, New Jersey is looking for an outside sales position.

 

<Job Overview>

The role involves expanding sales, building relationships with clients, and promoting products to a diverse range of customers, including retailers, distributors, and the foodservice industry. A passion for our products and Japanese cuisine will play a crucial role in achieving sales targets and increasing our presence in the market. Regular business trips will be required to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and explore new market opportunities.

 

<Job Description>

・Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company goals.
・Build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and new clients.
・Gain an in-depth understanding of our products and conduct product demonstrations, presentations, promotions, and sales to customers.
・Understand customer needs and provide services that enhance satisfaction and build trust.
・Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer demands.
・Prepare activity and results reports, providing feedback to management.
・Collaborate with team members and other departments to coordinate sales activities.
・Conduct sales activities through customer interactions, including phone calls and visits.
・Regularly prepare reports on sales performance and market trends.
・Participate in trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities.

 

<Requirements>

・Proficiency in English, Japanese and Chinese at a business level or higher.
・Additional languages such as Korean, or Spanish is a plus.
・3–10 years of sales experience in the food industry, food service, or related fields (experience in sales within Japan is highly desirable).
・Basic proficiency in business tools, including Excel, Word, and email.
・Experience or knowledge of food manufacturing and distribution industries is preferred; cooking experience is an added advantage.
・Willingness to travel for client meetings.
・Strong organizational and time management skills.
・Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary $65,000-80,000+ Bonus(DOE)
