Assistant Manager |Authentic Tempura Restaurant

An authentic tempura restaurant in Honolulu, Hawaii is seeking an Assistant Manager.

<Duties

1. Staff management
Shift management
Hire and train new staff
Check staff’s work attitude and performance
Motivating and coaching team members

2. Customer service management
Supporting the hall operations (showing customers around, taking orders, serving food, paying bills, etc.)
Customer service (handling complaints, managing repeat customers)
Propose improvement measures to enhance the quality of service in the restaurant

Sales and cost management
Sales reporting and target management
Inventory control and ordering of foodstuffs and supplies
Analysis and measures for cost reduction

4. Kitchen and store operation support
Cooperation and coordination between kitchen and hall
Confirmation and guidance on hygiene management and safety standards
Confirmation of facility and equipment maintenance

5. Marketing and promotion
Planning and operation of seasonal menus and events
Measures to attract customers through SNS and advertising
Planning measures to improve customer satisfaction

<Applicant Qualifications>
Cooking experience in a Japanese restaurant
Understanding of Japanese culture (Omotenashi)
Business level English and Japanese language skills a plus
U.S. work visa (OPT not accepted)
Relocation assistance will not be provided for applicants from the U.S. mainland.
