A Japanese seafood wholesale company based in Denver, Colorado is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager.
<Responsibilities>
1.Branch Operations Support
• Assist the Branch Manager with the overall daily operation of the Denver branch.
• Coordinate with LA Headquarters and other departments to ensure smooth branch operations.
• Oversee sales, warehouse, delivery, inventory, and purchasing activities.
• Identify operational issues and support corrective actions and improvements.
2. Team Management
• Support the supervision of Sales, Office, Warehouse, and Driver teams.
• Monitor employee scheduling, workload allocation, and completion of daily responsibilities.
• Support employee training, development, and performance management.
• Maintain effective communication between employees and management.
3. Customer Relations & Sales Support
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers, particularly key accounts.
• Support the Sales team with customer issues, pricing, product availability, and service-related matters.
• Assist with new customer development and business expansion.
• Handle escalated customer complaints and operational issues.
4. Operational & Compliance Management
• Oversee warehouse, inventory, receiving, shipping, and delivery operations.
• Monitor product quality, food safety, sanitation, and facility standards.
• Ensure branch operations comply with applicable federal, state, local, and company requirements.
• Follow up on corrective actions resulting from inspections, audits, or operational issues.
5. Documentation Oversight & Compliance Review
• Review branch records and documentation to ensure they are properly maintained by the responsible
employees.
• Periodically audit operational, food safety, sanitation, temperature, inventory, training, and other required
records.
• Verify that required licenses, permits, inspections, certifications, and regulatory documentation are current
and properly maintained.
• Monitor documentation deadlines and follow up with responsible employees to ensure timely completion.
• Review branch documentation for compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure the branch is prepared for internal, customer, and regulatory audits and inspections.
6. Financial & Performance Oversight
• Monitor branch sales, gross profit, expenses, and overall performance.
• Monitor AR collection and customer credit status.
• Review operational, inventory, sales, and financial reports.
• Identify unusual trends, discrepancies, or issues and follow up with the responsible department.
• Report significant issues and performance updates to the Branch Manager and LA Headquarters.
7. Acting as Branch Manager
• Make necessary day-to-day operational and sales decisions within company guidelines.
• Coordinate with LA Headquarters regarding significant financial, personnel, customer, compliance, or
operational matters.
• Ensure continuity of branch operations and communication during the Branch Manager’s absence.
<Requirements>
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Management or team leadership experience
• Experience in sales, operations, logistics, warehouse management, or related fields
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and teams simultaneously
• Strong English communication skills
• Basic computer skills, including Excel, Word, and email
• Strong problem-solving and coordination skills
