Job Summary
The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for managing overall kitchen operations.
In addition to overseeing daily cooking operations, this role will lead kitchen staff training, shift management, cost control, inventory management, sanitation management, back-office tasks, and communication with headquarters and vendors.
Responsibilities
・Manage overall kitchen operations
・Oversee cooking operations and improve food quality and service speed
・Manage quality control for cafe menu items, light meals, desserts, beverages, and related items
・Maintain standards for menu quality, plating, and preparation
・Improve kitchen operations during peak business hours
・Communicate and report to headquarters in Japan
・Coordinate with suppliers and business partners
・Manage kitchen staff schedules, training, and follow-up
・Manage food cost, labor cost, and food waste
・Conduct inventory checks, stock management, and ordering
・Ensure sanitation management and food safety standards
・Prepare daily reports and handle various back-office tasks
・Propose and implement improvements to kitchen operations
・Collaborate with front-of-house staff and the Restaurant Manager
・Perform other duties related to restaurant operations
Requirements
・Japanese-English bilingual skills
・Candidates authorized to work in the United States are welcome

・3+ years of experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, Store Manager, or Manager in a cafe, cafe restaurant, or restaurant environment
・Experience in cooking operations, food preparation, quality control, and sanitation management
・Experience in cafe-style cooking or kitchen management preferred
・Experience with light meals, desserts, beverages, cafe menu items, or similar operations preferred
・Must own a vehicle and be comfortable driving in the Los Angeles area
・Familiarity with Japanese corporate culture
・Ability to communicate with the team in a respectful and professional manner
・Ability to work weekends and holidays
・Team-oriented attitude
・Food Handler Certification, or willingness to obtain certification
・Spanish language skills preferred
