A high-end Japanese izakaya restaurant (a major restaurant group) in Las Vegas, Nevada, is seeking an Operations Director Candidate.
<Overview>
This position is responsible for overseeing overall operations across multiple business formats operated by the group, including Fine Dining, Casual Restaurants, Sushi, and Ramen, with the goal of driving business growth and maximizing profitability. Based at the Las Vegas headquarters, the role works closely with executive leadership to monitor the operational performance of each brand and location, while promoting on-site improvements, talent development, and operational standardization.
The position requires a balanced approach between office-based work (strategy development, financial and performance analysis) and on-site store visits (field management), maintaining an objective, brand-agnostic perspective to optimize the group as a whole. Approximately 50% of the time is expected to be spent on office work and 50% on store visits and on-site operations.

Manage and coordinate the Vice President’s (VP) schedule

Prepare meetings, create materials, and take meeting minutes

Assist in creating reports and presentations related to operations

Support daily operations and facilitate smooth communication across departments

Assist with the implementation and tracking of operational strategies and processes

Help plan and execute key projects, track progress, and provide reports

Organize and maintain contracts, documents, and files related to business performance

Prepare operational reports, financial statements, and performance analysis for the VP and relevant stakeholders

Provide support for other managerial tasks as needed
<Requirements>

Management experience overseeing multiple locations or within a restaurant group in the food and beverage industry

Proven experience improving operations using key metrics such as sales, food costs, and labor costs

Experience serving as a Store Manager, Area Manager, Operations Manager, or similar role, acting as a bridge between on-site operations and executive management

Ability to travel approximately once per month to group locations (primarily within Nevada and neighboring states)

Experience participating in menu development and culinary concept design
