Warehouse Team Leader

A Japanese logistics company located in Torrance, California is hiring for a Warehouse Team Leader position.

• Train new employees and assist with team development.
• Assist the Sr. Supervisor in warehouse operations including loading and unloading, managing containers, shipping, picking, and ensuring all tasks are completed properly.
• Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with safety protocols.
• Assist in managing the monthly inventory processes.
• Lead must be capable of stepping into any role as needed within the warehouse.
• Responsible for shift transitions and securing the warehouse at the end of the day.

<Summary/Objective>
The main objective is to support the Sr. Supervisor, ensuring a smooth workflow across all warehouse roles.
The position requires attention to safety regulations and maintaining customer and regulatory records.

＜Essential Functions>
• Process orders and batches using SAP.
• Verify shipments in SAP.
• Prepare paperwork for various shipments  and coordinate with carriers.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety policies.
• Assist with daily and monthly physical inventory (PI) checks and quarterly inspections.
• Problem-solving and investigating customer issues.
• Handle LTL (less-than-truckload) and FL (full-load) shipments, including loading and unloading.

<Qualifications>
• High School Diploma required.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in warehousing, logistics, or operations.
• Experience with SAP, inventory management, and third-party logistics (3PL).
• Ability to multitask and make independent decisions in stressful situations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

※Physical Requirements
• Must be able to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently.
• Other Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and lift regularly.
• Must have strong manual dexterity to handle equipment and perform warehouse duties.
• Must be able to drive and travel by air if needed.
