3D Sculptural Designer｜Japanese Art Studio

A Japanese art studio located in the Brooklyn area of New York City, New York is looking for a 3D Sculptural Designer.

<Position Overview>
This role is responsible for digital sculptural design and 3D modeling in support of sculptural production.
Using tools such as ZBrush and Rhino, the designer will create organic forms and
highly detailed sculptural models in a digital environment, translating them into production-ready assets
for physical fabrication.
This position requires a strong ability to understand the artist’s vision and translate it into highly refined
sculptural forms through advanced technical expertise.

<Key Responsibilities>
・ Create digital sculptures and 3D models using ZBrush, Rhino, and related software
・ Develop organic forms and highly detailed sculptural surfaces
・ Execute projects from initial concept sketches through finalized 3D production files
・ Optimize digital files for 3D printing and collaboration with the production team
・ Develop digital maquettes to support exhibition design and spatial planning
・ Translate artistic direction into precise sculptural expressions
・Produce digital animations as needed
・ Collaborate with the design team, project management team, and external partners to ensure
timely communication and successful completion of sculptural projects

<Requirements>
・Strong professional design portfolio (professional work required)
・ Professional experience in digital sculpting using ZBrush
・ Proficiency in Rhino or equivalent 3D modeling software
・ Demonstrated experience creating organic forms and high-detail sculptural work
・ Understanding of production-ready file preparation for physical fabrication (sculpture, product,
or large-scale works)
・Strong organizational skills and problem-solving ability
