A newly opening sushi school and restaurant in Cincinnati, Ohio is seeking a Restaurant General Manager to oversee overall restaurant operations, with a primary focus on front-of-house management.
This is a leadership role responsible for managing all front-of-house operations and supporting the successful launch of a new location. The Restaurant General Manager will be expected to maintain high service standards, ensure smooth daily operations, build a strong team culture, and consistently deliver an exceptional guest experience.
We welcome candidates who are detail-oriented, highly professional, self-motivated, and experienced in luxury hospitality or high-level restaurant management.
Responsibilities
・Oversee overall restaurant operations, ensuring smooth daily execution across service, kitchen coordination, and staff management
・Manage inventory operations, including ordering, inventory control, and compliance with food safety standards, using systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
・Lead and supervise both kitchen and front-of-house staff, providing training and coaching to improve service quality and strengthen team performance
・Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and complaints to ensure an excellent guest experience
・Create staff schedules, manage labor costs, and improve operational efficiency to meet budget goals
・Ensure strict compliance with food sanitation regulations and safety standards, including proper food handling and preparation procedures
・Participate in staff interviews and hiring activities, and support ongoing training and employee development
・Monitor food quality and ensure consistency in all menu items and presentation standards
・Analyze restaurant performance using key performance indicators, prepare reports for management, and propose improvement plans

Requirements
・U.S. permanent residency or U.S. citizenship
・Management experience in the restaurant industry
・Knowledge and experience in culinary operations, ingredient management, and kitchen operations
・Experience using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar systems
・Experience with cash handling
・Experience in staff training, employee development, and team management
・Knowledge of food sanitation and food safety standards
・Strong customer service, guest relations, and problem-solving skills
・Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
・Leadership skills with the ability to promote teamwork, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
・Management experience in fast food, quick-service restaurants, or casual dining
・Experience in fine dining or catering
・Food safety or sanitation-related certification
・Experience in the luxury hospitality industry
・Experience opening a new restaurant location
・Experience working at a Japanese restaurant or sushi restaurant
