Junior Manager|Japanese Restaurant

A Japanese restaurant located in Seattle, Washington is seeking a Junior Manager.

Job Overview

  • Serve as a Junior Manager, overseeing day-to-day operations and providing support where needed.

  • Work under the guidance of the Omakase Chef to maintain quality standards and coordinate overall store operations.

  • Train and mentor staff — instilling precision, discipline, and a sense of aesthetics.

  • Manage smooth service flow (timing, guest interactions, and maintaining the desired ambiance).

  • Oversee inventory control, ordering, and assist in maintaining an organized back-of-house area.

  • Propose and implement on-site improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Prepare for and participate in training for a future transition to a Manager position.

  • Assist with bookkeeping, onboarding of new staff, and server duties when necessary.

 

 

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Japanese and English (with a strong understanding of Japanese culture).

  • Valid work authorization in the U.S.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.

  • Proven leadership and management experience required.

  • Ability to balance leadership skills with teamwork.

  • Flexible and willing to perform guest service duties when needed.
