＜Job Summary＞

The Internal Audit Manager manages the development and implementation of the internal audit function within the company. This position will report to the Director of Internal Audit in Japan and the President of the U.S. company. Under the direction of the Japanese Internal Audit Director, the Internal Audit Manager will conduct risk-based internal audits in a timely manner in accordance with the annual audit plan, as well as assist with other audit matters and projects.

＜Job Description＞

・Conduct risk assessments of assigned departments on a defined schedule.

・Perform all internal audit phases of J-SOX compliance and operational audits, including determining audit scope, developing audit plans, flowcharts of key processes, risk and control matrix, developing/executing testing procedures for key controls/discussing and documenting issues and reporting.

・Work closely with the external auditors.

・Manage communications to management and the Audit Committee regarding findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Communications will include formal written reports and presentations.
Responsible for coordinating an ongoing review process that tracks and evaluates the implementation of audit recommendations.

・Responsible for the recruitment, training, and professional development of internal audit staff.

・Support the risk management activities of the enterprise.

・Respond to inquiries from the CFO, Controller, and company-wide management regarding internal controls and risk management.

＜Requirements＞

・8+ years of audit (Big 4 preferred), consulting, and/or internal audit, SOX/J-SOX, risk management, or compliance experience

・Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Finance or related field.

・CPA or CIA preferred

・Ability to communicate in Japanese (reading/writing/conversation) is a plus.

・Ability to travel (20-50% travel will be required (domestic and international). For example, attending meetings organized by the parent company or visiting branch offices for auditing purposes)
