Assistant Store Manager|Major Japanese Eyewear Company

A major Japanese eyewear company located in Santa Clara, California is seeking an Assistant Store Manager.

 

<Responsibilities>

Support the Store Manager in promoting and maintaining excellent customer service. This involves training employees on the company’s service standards, products, and procedures. Including developing the team to meet and exceed company standards for service and product knowledge; and consistently exemplifying the company’s vision and values.

  • Foster a welcoming, vibrant, and friendly store atmosphere by prioritizing customer service, addressing customer needs in a prompt and polite manner, and actively seeking to understand customer concerns, requests, and expectations.
  • Listen to, anticipate, and take the initiative to resolve customer complaints with honesty and integrity.
  • Assume the duties and responsibilities of the Store Manager in the event of his/her unavailability.
  • Pre-testing for eye exams
  • Stay updated on products and industry trends for informed recommendations.
  • Educate customers on lens care, maintenance, and usage.
  • Accurately process transactions, including payments, sales, and returns, through the POS system.
  • Perform measurements (pupillary distance, temple length, bridge size, etc.) to ensure eyewear meets optical prescriptions.
  • Process and verify inventory shipments and maintain store displays in line with brand standards.
  • Follow company policies on safety, health, harassment, and security.
  • Respond to customer emails and calls regarding store inquiries, product information, and complaints.

 

<Requirements>

  • Retail management: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Optical : 1 year (Required)
  • Management: 1 year (Required)
  • ABO Certification (Preferred)
  • You are detail-orientated – you have strong attention to detail, especially in assisting customers with prescriptions and measurements.
  • You are a team-player – you enjoy working collaboratively and have a positive, proactive attitude.
  • You are adaptable -you’re able to multitask, prioritize, and handle a fast-paced retail environment with grace.
  • Able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed.
