A Japanese food wholesaler company in Santa Fe Springs, CA is looking for a candidate who seeks a Distribution Associate Position.
<Job Description>
・Track all incoming shipments from vendors and other third-party clients, ensuring that products are received and ready for distribution to other branch warehouses.
・Collaborate with freight forwarders to coordinate container shipments, monitor and manage container schedules, and negotiate price schedules.
・Coordinate schedules with third-party trucking companies, arrange pick-up and drop-off, and manage the use of mechanized equipment such as forklifts for loading docks.
・Prepare product transportation, enhance existing systems, and resolve any issues.
・Define the project scope, business and department distribution requirements, and perform cost/benefit analysis, providing recommendations for improvements.
・Provide professional service to branch personnel inquiring about orders, stock status, shipping and delivery, prices, or expressing concerns about products and services.
・Strive to resolve all issues in a timely manner and refer product inquiries to the responsible personnel.
・Verify and check shipping records, address questions or concerns regarding shipping shortages or overages, and manage inventory control issues.
・Respond to inquiries regarding order status, changes, or cancellations from branches, third-party trucking companies, or external warehouses.
・Address both internal and external inquiries concerning shipments and resolve any related issues.
・Assist warehouse staff with duties, including but not limited to unloading/loading vehicles, preparing goods and materials, processing receipts, and inventory management.
・Perform other related duties as required.

·Business level English required – read/write/speak/listen
· Basic level Japanese preferred – read/write/speak/listen
· 1 – 3 office administration experiences required
