<Job Overview>
This role is responsible for supporting the overall operation of the store while managing staff and products.
The company is looking for someone who can lead a team and actively contribute to increasing sales while creating a
store environment that delivers an exceptional customer experience.
Comprehensive training will be provided by experienced managers after joining the company. New hires will have the opportunity
to thoroughly learn store operations, company culture, and operational procedures in a supportive environment.
As a result, candidates without bakery industry experience are welcome to apply. Those with management experience
in restaurants, cafés, retail businesses, or other customer-facing industries can leverage their existing skills and succeed in this role.
<Responsibilities>
1. Human Resource Management
・Hiring, training, and supervising front staff
・Creating and managing staff schedules, shift control, and workforce analysis
・Labor management (timecard management, onboarding/offboarding procedures, maintaining personnel files, responding to workplace accidents)
・Fostering teamwork and improving staff motivation
・Providing guidance and training to the Kitchen Manager
2. Product & Store Management
・Ordering and managing inventory of materials and ingredients, ensuring proper product display
・Updating price cards, ingredient lists, and POS systems (CLOVER) for new products or price changes
・Creating and setting up customer-facing posters/signs
・Securing products and materials based on sales forecasts and maintaining records for the following year
3. Financial Management
・Daily sales closing and confirmation of the previous day’s sales
・Sales forecasting and analysis
・Cost control, including labor costs (in coordination with the owner)
4. Customer Service & Sales
・Identifying customer needs and providing high-quality service
・Overseeing and improving operations across all time periods
5. Other Duties
・Ensuring store safety, hygiene, and risk management (IIPP implementation, responding to health department,
fire department, and water board inspections and improvements)
・Coordinating and reporting with the owner and other store managers
・Improving and streamlining store operations
・Guiding kitchen staff and improving kitchen operations in collaboration with the Kitchen Manager
・Procuring necessary materials and equipment (in coordination with the owner)
・Troubleshooting and repairing store equipment, and liaising with contractors as needed
<Qualifications>
• Bilingual in Japanese and English (Spanish proficiency is a plus)
• Authorized to work in the United States (visa sponsorship may be available for qualified candidates)
• No specific educational background required
• Minimum one year of management experience in the food service industry
Bakery experience is not required
Management experience in restaurants, cafés, or similar establishments is welcomed
• Basic computer skills, including Gmail, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
