A prestigious Japanese fine-dining restaurant located in Laguna Beach, California is seeking a restaurant server to join our team.
This Michelin one-star restaurant takes pride in using high-quality ingredients, sourcing fish from Tsukiji and Osaka markets.
<Job Overview>
Greeting and Seating Customers: Welcome customers at the entrance and guide them to their seats.
Menu Explanation: Provide menus to customers and explain the dishes and drinks available.
Taking Orders: Accurately take customer orders and communicate them to the kitchen or bartender.
Serving Food and Drinks: Serve the ordered food and drinks in a timely manner, ensuring the dishes do not cool down.
Table Maintenance: Keep customers’ tables clean during their meal, clearing dishes when necessary and offering refills or new drinks.
Payment Processing: Handle customer payments after their meal and process them at the register.
Customer Satisfaction Check: Check in with customers during their meal to ensure they are satisfied and address any concerns.
Cleanup: Clear the table after customers finish their meal and prepare it for the next guest.
Teamwork: Work closely with other servers, kitchen staff, and bartenders to provide efficient and smooth service.
<Requirements>
Must have a valid U.S. work visa
Bilingual in Japanese and English
Experience as a server in a Japanese restaurant is preferred
A serious and dedicated attitude toward work
Ability to work well in a team
Flexible and positive, with a proactive approach to tasks
