A high end Sushi Restaurant located in Chicago is looking for a experienced server.
Please note the minimum 2 year of fine dining experience.
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Server to join our team. As a Server, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, explaining each dish in intricate detail, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Responsibilities:
– Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
– Answer menu items in intricate detail
– Present menus to customers and answer any questions regarding menu items
– Take accurate food and drink orders from customers
– Relay orders to the kitchen staff and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages
– Serve food and drinks to customers in a prompt and efficient manner
– Check on customers throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction
– Process payments using cash register or POS system
– Maintain cleanliness of dining area, including tables, chairs, and floors
– Assist with opening and closing duties, such as setting up tables or restocking supplies
Qualifications:
- Need to have at least 2 years of Restaurant experience
- Need to have at least 2 year of high-end fine dining
– Previous experience working in the high-end food industry or as a Server is necessary
– Knowledge of basic math skills for handling payments
– Familiarity with cash handling procedures
– Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
– Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks during busy periods
– Experience with POS systems or similar restaurant management software is a plus
– Knowledge of OpenTable, Tock, Toast or other reservation systems is an advantage
– Basic knowledge of culinary terms and menu items is beneficial
– Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitate work areas according to health regulations
