A Japanese accounting firm in New York is seeking a Senior Accountant Consultant.
This is a hybrid position.

・Educate others on accounting best practices.
ーDaily and monthly operationsー
・Perform technical research to ensure proper GAAP accounting treatment of all transactions
・Work closely with the client’s accounting and finance teams to address day-to-day business activities and associated accounting implications
・Support the client’s monthly close process, including maintaining general and sub-ledgers, reviewing journal entries, and reconciling balance sheets
・Complete and assist with work papers for assurance services (audits, reviews, edits, etc.)
・Support internal audits or SOX projects, etc.
<Requirements>
・Bilingual Japanese-English (business level)
・3+ years of experience in an accounting firm or accounting department
・Experience working with Microsoft Office
・Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks or other related software preferred
・Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
・Relevant certifications (e.g. CPA required to work in the US) preferred
