Sales, Clerical and Administrative Staff|Japanese logistics company

A Japanese logistics company in Irvine, California is seeking motivated Sales, Clerical, and Administrative staff to join its team.

<Job Duties>
・Forwarding arrangements (Import & Export operation as lower part)
・ System entries (invoices, bills and forwarding documents)
・ Filing invoices, expense reports, inventory documents (receiving/out shipping/storage), truck bill of ladings, forwarding documents etc.
・ Communications and negotiations with customers, venders and agents (sales for new and
existing accounts (registrations and contracts), research for new venders (price, quality and
delivery negotiations)
・ General administrative support (Irvine accounting/HR/audits/IT/facility and equipment maintenance arrangements/the minutes/permits and licenses managements/etc.) and are
supporting daily operations as needed (activity reports, scheduling, cost control, work efficiency
and improvement suggestions, etc.)
・Inventory control: purchasing packing material (steel skids and lumber), supplies etc.
・Manage customers’ machine and parts inventory
・ Warehouse work (Forklift handling, light workload etc.)
・Other work requested by management team
■Import operations:
・Import operations A to Z (including but not limited to below):
・Communications for instructions and documents with customers, carriers, co-loaders, warehouses, forwarders, airlines and agents
・International import (air/ocean), shipping arrangement
・Creating a case in “iLogi”
・Making payment for billing invoices
・Make and send arrival information to clients
・Customs clearance
・FDA clearance
・CBP and Duty processes
・Arrangement of trucker (communications and issuing documents)
・Issuing billing invoices
・File and manage documents
・Making estimate
■Export operations:
・Import operations A to Z (including but not limited to below):
・Communications for instructions and documents with customers, carriers, co-loaders, warehouses,forwarders, airlines and agents
・International export (air/ocean), shipping arrangement
・Creating a case in “iLogi”
・Making payment for billing invoices
・Make and send arrival information to clients
・AES filing
・Arrangement of trucker (communications and issuing documents)
・Issuing billing invoices
・File and manage documents
・Making estimate

 

<Qualifications>
・Fluent in Japanese/English Bilingual
・ Accuracy and attention to detail
・ Great time management and organizational skills
・ Proficient in MS applications (Word & Excel)
・ Strong communication skills
・Experiences (Scheduling, cost controls, inventory, clerical jobs, system/online tool use, etc.)
・ Forklift license (Not essential, but give preferential treatment to experiencers)
・ Visa support available ((J visa or E visa)
