Sales Assistant|Major Japanese food company

A major Japanese food company in Torrance, California is currently seeking a Sales Assistant.

The position is office-based. We welcome applications from candidates with prior office work experience who are proficient in Word and Excel!

 

<Job Summary>
This position is responsible for performing functions for the Sales department (including promo orders) and for
handling customer service support by responding questions and complaints and explaining company products by
phone and e-mail. Duties also includes supporting sales, accounting, and administrative tasks

 

<Job Description>
1.Sales Support:
・Helps others for handling orders for each sales channel.
・Helps others for transferring Purchasing Order to spreadsheet.
・Follows up on all customer calls, and inquiries.
・Attends and coordinates demos and support shows.
・Communicates with warehouses and our factory for sales orders and production.
・Updates demo data and report.
・Updates sales data for month-end closing.
・Updates and Analyzes sales data.
・Update Sales Breakdown List
2.Customer service support:
・Contacts customers regularly via telephone, e-mail, letters and in person to ascertain their needs and keep business and information flowing smoothly.
・Identifies customer needs or problems in a timely manner.
・Handles customer service complaints, products complaints, and customer requests via telephone and e-mail.
3.Promo order assistance:
・Ensures that orders are shipped out on-time and accurately.
・Travels to warehouses as needed. (When the inventory is not enough).
・Orders inventory from warehouses as needed.
・Manages donation requests
4.Administrative support:
・Answers and routing incoming phone calls.
・Greets visitors.
・Provides general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing, and copying to management
5.Other duties:
・Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less costly ways and means in work processes.
・Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Management.
・Maintains high ethical standards in the work place.
・Reports all irregular issues and problems to management for solution.
・Maintains good communication with management, office staff members and outside contacts.
・Complies with all company policies and procedures.
・Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.
・Answers and routing incoming phone calls. Receives and routing incoming mails.
・Handles and takes care of guests from Paren Company (MMIC) or Sibsiciary Company (PNF)when needed.

**There may be occasional domestic travel.

 

<Requirements>
・Must have valid work authorization in the U.S.
Associate’s Degree (A.A.) from two-year College or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Related experience of more than six months. Sales experience in the U.S. is preferred.
・Ability to use fax machine, copier, scanner, and other devices necessary for daily office work.
・Must be able to use Word, Excel (Software includes the use of Windows operating system and MS Office)
・May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
・Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license
