IT Support Specialist | Japanese Omakase Restaurant

A Japanese omakase restaurant group in Cerritos, CA is looking for an IT Support Specialist.

 

<Job Description>
• Serve as first-line technical support for internal hardware and software issues
• Triage, prioritize, and resolve support tickets within established SLA
• Communicate ticket status and resolution timelines proactively
• Support technology projects related to new restaurant openings and system deployments
• Assist with technology setup for new hires, including device configuration, software installation, and account provisioning
• Configure and provision laptops, smartphones, tablets, and other company devices
• Maintain device inventory, software licenses, and access credentials
• Support Microsoft Intune policy updates and MDM enforcement
• Manage device lifecycle, including setup, deployment, maintenance, and secure decommissioning
• Maintain internal IT documentation and standard operating procedures
• Support network connectivity troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi, cabling, and hardware issues
• Assist with infrastructure maintenance, system updates, and scheduled maintenance
• Support POS system troubleshooting at restaurant locations
• Escalate unresolved technical issues to the IT System Administrator with full documentation
• Travel to restaurant locations as needed to provide on-site technical support
• Assist with user account provisioning, permission updates, and access removal
• Support CCPA and PCI DSS compliance practices
• Flag security concerns, unusual system behavior, or suspected policy violations immediately
• Perform additional IT support duties as assigned

<Knowledge and Skills>
• IT help desk and technical support
• Hardware and software troubleshooting
• Ticket triage, prioritization, and SLA management
• Windows 11 and Microsoft 365
• Network fundamentals, including Wi-Fi, cabling, and hardware support
• Device provisioning, MDM, and lifecycle management
• Microsoft Intune preferred
• POS system troubleshooting
• User account and access management
• IT documentation and standard operating procedures
• CCPA and PCI DSS compliance support
• Strong communication skills with non-technical users
• Problem-solving and root-cause analysis
• Ability to manage multiple open tickets in a fast-paced, multi-location environment
• Hospitality, restaurant, or multi-unit retail technology experience preferred

<Requirements>
• 1–3 years of experience in IT support or a related technical role
• Working knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and network fundamentals
• Experience with device management, provisioning, MDM, and lifecycle management
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical users
• Ability to manage multiple open tickets in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to travel to restaurant locations as required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance
• Ability to work in confined spaces during equipment setup
• CompTIA A+ or equivalent IT certification preferred
• Microsoft 365 certification, such as MS-900 or MD-102, preferred
• Experience in hospitality, restaurant, or multi-unit retail technology environment preferred
• Bilingual Japanese and English preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems, such as Toast or equivalent, preferred
