A leading Japanese manufacturing company located in Valencia, California is seeking an Inventory Control / Purchasing Clerk.

<Job Overview>
This position is not a warehouse role, but an office-based administrative and operational role.
The primary responsibilities include inventory management, purchasing support, vendor communication,
and data entry and management, covering a wide range of back-office functions. Rather than physically demanding
work, this role focuses on utilizing administrative skills, communication abilities, and multitasking capabilities to
ensure accurate and efficient execution of daily operations.
<Essential Job Functions>
・ Maintain accurate records of inventory and materials on order.
・Monitor inventory levels and reorder points; initiate replenishment actions as necessary.
・ Reconcile inventory discrepancies and report irregularities to supervisor.
・ Process purchase orders through vendors and online systems; track orders and resolve issues.
・Maintain purchase records and database accuracy.
・ Communicate with vendors to obtain pricing, delivery details, and resolve discrepancies.
・ Perform data entry using spreadsheets and/or internal systems with high accuracy.
・ Interface with multiple departments and systems to manage invoices, payments, and purchasing concerns.
・ Manage receiving schedules, inspections, and handle product rejections.
・ Collaborate with Engineering team to ensure correct products are ordered.
・ Perform other related duties as assigned.
<Requirements>
・Strong knowledge of inventory control and purchasing practices.
・ Ability to reconcile physical inventory with system reports.
・ Proficiency in database management and accurate data entry.
・ Problem-solving and analytical skills.
・ Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
・ Ability to quickly learn and use integrated database systems.
・ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
・ Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and follow through.
・ Bilingual in Japanese is a plus
・High school diploma or GED required.
・ Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
・ Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
