A Japanese major food trading company located in Hanover, Maryland is looking for an Inside Sales representative.
<Job Summary>
Under general supervision, the Inside Sales Rep I will primarily focus on handling outbound calls from existing customers and they will independently generate sales by marketing company product lines, managing new and existing customer accounts, negotiating, and interfacing with customers. This position is responsible for understanding the customer needs, leveraging and maintaining business relationships.
<Job Functions>
・Ensure that each customer, client, and vendor received outstanding customer service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and assisting every customer, maintaining outstanding product knowledge, and all other components of customer service.
・Contact existing customers and develop business by selling company product lines and offering value-added services and availability information to unsolicited and solicited callers. Maintain current customer information including sales contracts, bonded inventory requirements, contract terms, and other pertinent account details.
・Responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales growth goals agreed upon annually with Area Team Manager or Deputy Team Manager.
・Maintain professionalism, stay abreast of new products, and recommend alternative products for out-of-stock items.
・Provides new and current customers with product information including pricing, delivery, inventory stocking, and/ or back-order availability, functionally equivalent cross matches, and value-added product information.
・Negotiates and established sales quotes based on the volume of products purchased and the nature of the marketplace to effectively offer competitive pricing and ensure the highest profitability.
・Makes calls (phone) to present the company’s products to end-users while seeking to meet or exceed corporate-wide assigned sales quotas.
・Understand the Company’s target market and marketing goals in order to communicate with the designers and effectively execute the message to our consumers.
・Additional duties as assigned.
<Requirements>
・Bilingual in Japanese and English
・Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
・Knowledge of sales and cold-calling methods and procedures.
・Knowledge of office methods and practices including familiarity with office equipment;
・Require computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook software, as well as other general office skills;
・Effective communication skills internally and externally via phone, email, and in person.
・Good organization skills.
・Strong customer service orientation with the ability to initiate and sustain productive business relationships with customers.
・Ability to organize and prioritize and complete numerous tasks under various time constraints.
・Ability to use Oracle ERP system; ability to use the telephone in a professional and courteous manner.
・Ability to speak, write and read English.
・Ability to speak clearly, concisely, and effectively.
・Ability to learn a variety of Asian Food products sold by the company.
