Household Goods Coordinator | Leading Japanese Logistics Company

A leading Japanese global logistics company located in Los Angeles, California, is seeking a Household Goods Coordinator.

<Job Summary>
Coordinate activities daily. Leads staff (Driver, HHG Helper, etc.) on the appropriate Household Goods moving team.

<Job Duties>
•Lead and coordinate with a moving team preparation and movement of customer household goods
•Customer relations/Estimates
•General Business support including Japanese/English translation
•Management of moving team to ensure packing, removing, and loading of the customer’s belongings
•Ensure unloading, placing in proper location and unpacking of the customer’s belongings
•Maintain a good working relationship with customers on site basis
•Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with drivers
•Make sure all documentation relating to the shipment has been properly filled out.
•Some Leadership duties

<Requirements>
•High school diploma or equivalency certificate or significant or relevant or appropriate working experience.
•Able to read, write and speak in English and Japanese (professional) REQUIRED
•Good driving history
•Knowledge of material handling, warehouse operations and transportation systems
•Basic Knowledge of OSHA safety rules
•Basic Knowledge of inventory control procedure
•Basic Knowledge of distribution center operations
•Basic Knowledge of domestic and international transportation regulations

<Physical Requirements>
•Must be able to perform driving and physical moving necessary for the position.
•Available and capable of overnight travel
•Available to work overtime as needed
•Available to work in all weather conditions
•Able to lift 50 lbs.
•Usage of forklift and hand dolly
