floor staff | Japanese Restaurant

A Japanese restaurant (matcha café) opening soon in Palo Alto, California is seeking an experienced Floor Staff to join their new restaurant.

If you love Japanese culture and matcha, we’d love to have you on our team! Baristas are especially welcome!
This café offers handcrafted matcha drinks and light meals, with a cozy 15-seat (including patio) space. While dine-in service is available, the operation will primarily focus on To-Go service. As a member of our opening team, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere.

<Responsibilities>
・Take customer orders and serve food and beverages promptly and accurately
・Prepare and package drinks and light meals for dine-in and take-out customers
・Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café floor, drink station, and patio area
・Ensure tables and counters are clean and ready for guests at all times
・Assist with opening and closing duties, including basic setup and end-of-day cleaning
・Handle payments and operate the POS system
・Follow company procedures for food safety and hygiene
・Support the team in maintaining efficient daily operations

<Requirements>
・Valid U.S. work authorization
・Experience in cafés, coffee shops, or fast-food establishments preferred
・Strong communication and customer service skills
・Ability to work early mornings (starting around 5:30 AM)
・Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
・Interest in Japanese culture and matcha is a plus
