A Japanese manufacturer located near Plano, TX is seeking a Customer Service & Order Management Specialist to join its Dallas-area office.
This position will be responsible for order processing, shipment coordination, and customer support while working closely with the sales and logistics teams. This is an important role that supports smooth communication between customers and internal teams.
This is an urgent opening, as the current person in charge is scheduled to transfer to the sales department in August. Training will be provided for approximately 6 weeks to 2 months.
Job Summary
The Customer Service & Order Management Specialist will be responsible for sales order management, purchase order management, shipping and logistics coordination, and customer communication for a Japanese manufacturer.
The selected candidate will support customers through accurate order processing, timely follow-up, and smooth coordination with internal departments and external logistics partners.
Responsibilities
・Enter and process sales order data
・Review order details and send order confirmations to customers
・Confirm delivery schedules and collect additional information as needed
・Coordinate with internal departments regarding order status and customer requests
・Create and manage purchase orders
・Follow up with customers to collect purchase orders
・Confirm receipt of purchase orders and respond to customer inquiries
・Coordinate domestic and international shipments
・Communicate with logistics companies and carriers
・Update and share tracking information
・Prepare export and import-related documents
・Manage shipping schedules
・Respond to customer emails and inquiries
・Follow up on orders, delivery schedules, and related requests
・Coordinate communication between internal and external parties
・Escalate issues as needed when problems arise
Requirements
・3+ years of experience in customer service, order processing, sales support, or a related role
・Experience with order management in a manufacturing, trading, or logistics-related environment
・Business-level English communication skills
・Experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
・Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
・Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
・Valid work authorization in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
・Experience using ERP systems
・Knowledge of export/import operations or international logistics
・Associate degree or higher
