A Japanese restaurant in Honolulu, Hawaii is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager.
<Responsibilities>
– Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, including managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining quality standards
– Train and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, cooks, and dishwashers
– Create and implement work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels
– Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and quality
– Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
– Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and update menu offerings
– Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
– Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
– Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment
<Requirements>
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in restaurant management or a similar role
– Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and specialty coffee drinks
– Experience in team management, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation
– Culinary background with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques and flavor profiles
– Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
– Familiarity with Aloha POS system or similar restaurant management software
– Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
– Knowledge of food service management principles, including inventory control and cost management
– Understanding of food handling procedures and health code regulations
