Accounting Staff (AR) | Japanese food company

Japanese Food Wholesaler in Elk Grove Village, Illinois is seeking a candidate for an Accounting Staff (AR) position.

<Job Description>

• Proper documentation of payments through reports
• Process refunds and returned checks
• Work with customers to clear delinquent accounts
• Compose e-mails and respond to customer requests for receipts
• Process weekly statements and email statements upon customer request
• Record cash, check, and credit card transactions and process customer payments
• Manage data to ensure proper distribution of statements, including monitoring billed payments
• Prepare bi-weekly statement reports for review
• Other duties as required by manager
• Work with customers and sales team to ensure future payments are collected and payment delinquencies are resolved – Maintain proper filing and record keeping procedures

<Requirements>

• Basic level of English (required) and basic level of Japanese (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other related field preferred
• 2+ years of AR experience preferred
• Basic math knowledge (markups, discounts, currency, etc.)
