Asset Analyst II

A major Japanese gas company in Houston, Texas is looking for an individual to fill the position of Asset Analyst II.

Main accountabilities:
• Lead both the project company’s and the holding company’s annual budgets with certain reasons for setting the amounts, while referring to contracts and historical data.
• Lead monthly operating report to management with accurate explanations of variances between the budget and the actual results. The person analyzes the variance, identifies the cause, takes measures, and predicts the outcome.
• Lead monthly YE forecast to management with clear explanations for the assumptions used in the forecast.
• Manage cash positions including cash distribution and payment to vendors.
• Coordinate closely with accounting team and asset management service provider to ensure that monthly financials (USGAAP and IFRS) are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Support internal member to ensure that property tax limitation is applied to the project.
• Administer tax equity investor compliance task including monthly report, cash distribution, allocation and HLBV by managing asset management service provider, and obtain internal and tax equity approval as needed. This also requires some general knowledge of tax equity.
• Administer and manage major project documents, including preparing resolution of significant agreement issues that stem from the operation of the project (e.g., financing agreement, LLCA, lease agreement, tax limitation agreement and equipment warranties).
• Renew insurance policies and manage claims by getting support from insurance broker.
• Support the technical division by communicating with the plant manager and proposing solutions from an asset management perspective.
• Oversee project level compliance with all regulatory requirements including NERC and ERCOT, ensuring that all filings are completed accurately and on-time.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially a) Excel skills for database management and creating various graphs and b) Presentation skills by utilizing Power Point.
• US driver’s license

Salary $40-50/h(To be determined after interview depending on experience)
