E-Commerce Operations Staff | Japanese Import and Distribution Company

A Japanese import and distribution company located in Costa Mesa, California is seeking an E-Commerce Operations Staff Member to join its team.

This position is suitable for someone who is willing to take on new responsibilities with a positive attitude and enjoys handling a wide range of tasks in a small team, even without prior professional experience in the e-commerce industry.
Candidates who are willing to actively participate not only in desk-based work but also in hands-on warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and shipping orders, are welcome.

<Job Overview>
This position involves overseeing various aspects of e-commerce operations, from managing online sales channels such as Shopify, Amazon, and eBay to handling order fulfillment, inventory management, and customer service.

<Responsibilities>
1. E-Commerce and Warehouse Operations
・Pick, pack, and ship customer orders
・Manage warehouse inventory and receive, inspect, and organize incoming products
・Provide customer service in English, primarily via email
・Communicate and coordinate with suppliers in Japan

2. E-Commerce Website and Sales Channel Management
・Operate and manage sales channels such as Shopify, Amazon, and eBay
・Create and update product listings in English
・Manage and update product information, pricing, and inventory data
・Take product photos and create product content

3. Social Media and Marketing Support
・Manage and maintain social media accounts
・Create and update social media posts and respond to comments
・Handle other tasks related to overall e-commerce operations

<Requirements>
・Ability to conduct business in Japanese (internal communication and communication with suppliers)
・English reading and writing skills (customer service and product information creation)
・Comfortable performing physical tasks in a warehouse environment
・Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs. (approximately 23 kg)
・Basic computer skills, including Excel and Google Sheets
・Ability to perform tasks accurately and carefully
・Must have valid authorization to work in the United States (visa sponsorship is not available)
・Must be able to work full-time onsite at the office and warehouse

<Preferred Qualifications>
・Previous experience in e-commerce operations
・Experience using Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, eBay, or similar platforms
・Experience creating product listings and managing online sales channels
・Experience in product photography, social media management, or content creation
・Experience in inventory management, logistics, or order fulfillment operations
