that truly values its people. Choose us, and be part of something extraordinary!
<Position Overview>
A Life & Financial Services Associate to service our life insurance clients and train into a sales
role in life and financial services. You will start by handling life policy service, alerts, and client follow-up, while
learning our sales process alongside licensed producers.
This role is built for someone who wants to grow. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, coachable, and has a
genuine interest in becoming a licensed financial professional or financial advisor over time. Prior insurance
experience is a plus, but drive, reliability, and a client-first attitude matter most.
<Key Responsibilities>
1. Life Insurance Customer Service
• Monitor life insurance alerts daily, including cancellations, lapses, term conversions, and expirations, and
follow up promptly.
• Contact policyholders by phone, text, and email to collect required documents, signatures, and payments.
• Review account notes before contacting clients so every conversation is informed.
• Assist clients with policy updates, beneficiary changes, billing questions, and claims paperwork.
• Follow up with underwriting on outstanding requirements so new policies are issued on time.
• Escalate questions you cannot answer to the appropriate licensed team member — never guess.
2.Sales Support & Sales Training
• Review the existing client book to identify life and financial services opportunities: term conversions,
coverage gaps, policy rewrites, and clients with no life coverage.
• Work life referrals from the agency’s Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, and Customer Service teams.
• Schedule life and financial review appointments for licensed producers and prepare client information.
• Shadow licensed producers on client appointments and sales calls.
• Participate in role-play, call reviews, and objection-handling training.
• Once licensed, quote and present life products and close sales under the agency’s sales process.
3.Documentation & Reporting
• Manage pipelines, tasks, and follow-ups in the agency CRM (AgencyZoom).
• Document every client interaction: who you spoke to, what was discussed, and next steps.
• Maintain client files according to agency standards and complete daily activity reports.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
<Training & Career Path>
This role is a structured path from life service into life and financial services sales, with room to grow toward a financial advisor career.
1 Foundation (first 90 days): Learn agency systems, life service procedures, and Farmers life products.
Handle life alerts and client follow-up independently.
2 Licensing (target within 6 months, if not already licensed): Obtain the California Life-Only or Life &
Health license with agency support.
3 Sales development: Shadow licensed producers, complete role-play and call reviews, then begin quoting
and closing life policies.
4 Producer: Take ownership of life and financial services sales goals.
5 Advanced growth: Strong performers will be supported with additional licensing and training toward a
financial advisor role (for example, securities licensing).
<What Success Looks Like>
• During training: life alerts handled daily, accurate client documentation, and licensing completed on
schedule.
• As a licensed producer: monthly goals of 15 new life / financial services policies and 4 life referrals
<Qualifications Required>
• Bilingual in Japanese and English (spoken and written).
• Customer service experience in any industry (insurance, banking, or financial services preferred).
• Clear, professional phone, text, and email communication.
• Detail-oriented, with strong organization and follow-through; able to manage many client files and deadlines
at once.
• Proficient with computers and CRM systems; quick to learn new software.
• Coachable: accepts feedback and applies it.
• Genuine interest in life insurance, financial services, and becoming a financial professional or advisor.
• Must reside in the San Diego area and be available to work full-time in the office, Monday through Friday.
