A major Japanese airline is seeking a Cargo Service Representative at the Cargo Building of John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York.
<Job Summary>
The Cargo Service Representative is responsible for supervising entrustment staff in preparing
cargo for aircraft loading while ensuring safety through Dangerous Goods inspections and weight
confirmations
<Responsibilities>
•Supervise entrustment company staff to ensure quality assurance up to specified standards.
• Coordinate buildup of pallets with entrustment company staff in accordance with cargo regulations.
• Reconfirm final weights of pallets.
•Oversee inspections by any related agencies such as Customs and Border Patrol, etc.
• Input final weights into database to plan aircraft loading space allotment.
• Provide customer service for inquiries regarding inbound shipments.
• Create reports and maintain inventory as necessary.
• AWB acceptance/cargo acceptance/cargo buildup in the warehouse/shipment document
verification/monitoring emails and taking actions.
• Assist customers and freight forwarders.
• Resolve delayed, damaged or missing cargo issues.
•Follow airline safety, security and cargo regulations.
<Requirements>
•Work authorization: Must possess valid U.S. work authorization (U.S. Citizenship, Green
•Card or valid work visa and valid driver’s license)
• CBP Clearance: Must be eligible to work in the restricted U.S Customs and Border Protection area.
• Passing of USPS background check (for those handling Mail).
• Experience: 2+ years of professional experience is preferred
• Flexibility: Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, late nights and
early morning (Standard am shift 0600-1400 pm shift 1800-0200 40 hours/week)

•High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver license : Preferred, not required
• Prolonged periods of walking and standing.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
• Must be able to travel occasionally.
• Must be able to work in unfavorable temperatures and loud environments
