Account Assistant | Japanese Printing and Translation Services Company

A Japanese printing and translation services company in Long Beach, California is seeking an Account Assistant.

This position is responsible for accounting assistance and general administrative duties.

 

<Responsibilities>
•Enter vendor invoices (AP) into the accounting system (QuickBooks)
•Issue and send invoices (AR) to customers
•Process payments to vendors (check issuance and wire transfers)
•Respond to inquiries from vendors and customers related to AP and AR
•Support year-end audits (report preparation duties)
•Process refunds for online sales (PayPal)
•General administrative duties, including:
•Travel arrangements
•Office supply ordering
•Scheduling and preparation for company events and catering orders
•Mail distribution
•Reception and visitor support
•Other miscellaneous office tasks
•Provide support to other departments during busy periods as needed

 

<Requirements>
• Accounting experience
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to multitask
• Bilingual in Japanese and English
(Communication with vendors and customers will primarily be conducted in English.)
• IT skills: Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets), MS Excel, etc.
• Additional Qualifications
oGeneral business etiquette and strong communication skills
oValid driver’s license
oFlexible and adaptable, with a positive and professional attitude
