A Japanese sushi restaurant group operating four locations in New York City is seeking a Floor Manager to join the team.
Candidates without prior floor manager experience are also welcome to apply and may start in an Assistant Manager role.
<Job Responsibilities>

Oversee various tasks related to overall restaurant operations

Coordinate with the Health Department to ensure compliance

Manage staff attendance and timekeeping

Supervise POS system operations

Utilize ADP for scheduling and payroll management

Monitor daily service flow and ensure a high-quality guest experience

Supervise and manage front-of-house staff
-
Maintain quality control of service and food presentation, including the restaurant’s signature sauces and fish
<Qualifications>

Business-level English proficiency (bilingual candidates preferred)

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Manager or Assistant Manager at a high-end sushi or Japanese restaurant

Valid NYC Department of Health Food Handler Certificate

Knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sake, and fish

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Ability to collaborate closely with the Sushi Chef Manager and Kitchen Manager, supporting sushi chefs while ensuring smooth restaurant operations
