Store Manager | Japanese Onigiri & Sushi Shop

A Japanese onigiri and sushi shop located in Little Tokyo & La Cañada Flintridge, California is looking for a bright, energetic, and hands-on Store Manager to lead.

<About the Role>
The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and also work on the floor — assisting with cashier duties, kitchen prep, and simple sushi or sashimi preparation.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both food and customer service, and wants to grow in a warm, community-focused restaurant environment.

<Key Responsibilities>
・Manage daily store operations and staff scheduling
・Handle cashier duties and provide excellent customer service
・Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients and supplies
・Support kitchen prep and light cooking tasks
・Handle and prepare fresh fish (basic sushi & sashimi preparation)
・Train and supervise staff to maintain service quality
・Ensure cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards
・Communicate with management about store needs and improvements

<Requirements>
・Experience in restaurant or kitchen operations (management experience preferred)
・Ability to handle and cut fish (sushi experience preferred)
・Friendly, outgoing, and dependable personality
・Strong multitasking and communication skills
・Japanese or Spanish language ability is a plus
・Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
