Sushi Chef | Luxury Sushi Restaurant Group

A major restaurant group based in Houston, Texas is seeking a Sushi Chef to join a conveyor belt sushi restaurant.

 

<Job Overview>

  • Sushi preparation (including fish cutting, sashimi, nigiri, rolls, and prompt service)

  • Ingredient management (inventory control, ordering, freshness checks, proper storage)

  • Sanitation control (cleaning, disinfecting, keeping the kitchen organized)

  • Equipment maintenance (knife care, machine operation and upkeep)

  • Quality control (checking sushi quality and presentation, continuous improvement)

  • Operational efficiency (fast-paced preparation, teamwork, handling busy hours)

  • Safety measures (safe handling of fire and knives, emergency response)

 

<Requirements>

  • Bilingual in Japanese and English

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Previous experience as a sushi chef

  • Friendly and able to communicate with anyone

  • Interest in Japanese cuisine

  • Strong sense of teamwork
