Senior Sushi chef | Japanese Restaurant

A Japanese restaurant with four locations in NY State is  looking for a Senior Sushi Chef.

They are looking for a Sushi Chef with at least 20 years of experience!

 

<Job Summary>

You will be primarily responsible for preparing and serving sushi—including nigiri, rolls, and sashimi—using fresh ingredients. Your duties will include selecting ingredients, procuring supplies, breaking down fish, performing prep work, and managing storage. You will also be involved in developing daily and seasonal menus as well as proposing new ingredients. Additionally, you will contribute to enhancing customer satisfaction by training junior chefs and apprentice staff, handling customer service and custom orders, and managing regular clientele.

 

<Requirements>

・Valid authorization to work in the US
・Japanese and English Bilingual
・Minimum 20 years of experience as a sushi chef
・Proficient in making sushi rolls and filleting fish
・Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
