A Japanese accounting firm located in Oakland, California is seeking an Accountant.
We welcome applicants with 5+ years of experience in accounting and taxation, especially those with a
strong interest in tax.
As the majority of our clients are Japanese, professional-level Japanese language skills are required.
We also offer a flexible and supportive work environment to accommodate family responsibilities,
such as picking up children.

- Payment processing and bookkeeping services
- Consulting on company formation
- Preparation of financial statements
- Preparation of consolidated financial statements and packages
- Calculation of tax effects
- Accounting software setup and support
- Preparation of fixed asset ledgers and depreciation calculations
- Providing guidance on accounting principles
- Preparation of corporate tax returns
- Preparation of fixed asset tax returns
- Business license application procedures
- Preparation of sales tax returns
- Preparation of reports for the Department of Commerce
- U.S. tax consulting
- Planning and preparation of expatriate income tax, gross-up calculations, and tax returns
<Qualifications>
- Valid work authorization to work in the U.S. (OPT or student visas are not eligible)
- 5+ years of experience in accounting and taxation (CPA not required)
- Professional-level Japanese and business-level English
