Kaiseki restaurant in the Nomad area of New York City is looking for a Sous Chef position.
Applications are welcome from individuals with experience in Japanese cuisine and sushi, but not necessarily kaiseki cuisine!

<Job Description>
- Cooking: Prepare Kaiseki and Japanese dishes according to the menu. Prepare, cook, and serve food under the direction of the Head Chef.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and coordination to other kitchen staff to improve efficiency in the kitchen.
- Quality Control: Manages ingredient selection and food finishing to ensure food quality is maintained and finished to standards.
- Menu Development: Work with the Head Chef to come up with new kaiseki dishes and participate in the development of the menu.
- Sanitation: Ensure kitchen cleanliness and food safety by strictly following sanitation standards.
- Stock control: Maintain stock of ingredients and seasonings, and place orders as needed.
<Requirements>
- Must have a visa to work legally in the U.S.
- Kaiseki, sushi, or Japanese food experience of at least 2 years
- Preferably a resident of New York.
- Must have daily conversational level of English.
- Flexible work schedule is required.
