B2C Sales Manager | Japanese food company

A large Japanese food company in Torrance, CA is currently seeking a B2C Sales Manager. The position is office based 3 days a week (Tuesday-Thursday) with the remaining 2 days being remote work with some business travel. This is a great opportunity for someone with beverage and food sales experience in the U.S!

<Job Summary>

This position is responsible for working with brokers and distributors worldwide to plan and execute sales promotions to achieve sales and profit goals in assigned sales channels. This position provides direction to field service team members and assists in developing and planning work flow.

<Job Description>

Develops and implements strategic sales plans in support of corporate objectives.

  • Prepare annual budgets, quarterly and monthly sales reviews.
  • Provide price quotes, proposals, and credit terms to current and prospective customers.
  • Supervise, direct, and direct the activities of field sales representatives and evaluate the work and performance of field service representatives.
  • Review and maintain time cards for subordinate non-exempt employees.
  • Follow up on customer calls, visits, and inquiries.
  • Research and identify potential customers.
  • Regularly contact and follow up with retailers through phone calls, e-mails, letters, and in-person meetings.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with retailers.
  • Send samples and follow up with customers.
  • Respond to customer calls, questions, and requests.
  • Work with brokers and distributors to market their products.
  • Attend and exhibit at trade and consumer shows.
  • Plan and execute customized sales promotions on a national and/or regional level and for specific retail chains, as needed.
  • Establish sales territories, quotas, and goals and coordinate sales distribution.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans that address corporate objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to brokers, distributors, and retailers.
  • Be aware of internal staff processes and arrange for proper delivery of orders.
  • Receive and confirm orders.
  • Enter sales and profit data for each customer and product.
  • Analyze sales trends, sales efficiency, product presentation, and best practices to maximize profits.
  • Identify and address retailer needs and issues in a timely manner.
  • Track sales leads and sales volume on a regular basis.
  • Contact retailers as needed to resolve issues.
  • Maintain current and prospective customer correspondence.
  • Prepare retailer contact reports.
  • Enter new retailer data, requirements, and other sales data from current retailers into computer database.
  • Plans business objectives and develops organizational procedures.
  • Handle troubleshooting and work internally and with retailers on specific issues.
  • Plans, negotiates, and implements private label products.
  • Assists retailers, distributors, and brokers with sales activities.
  • Evaluates brokers and communicates contact terms.
  • Perform other duties as required to manage the company’s sales operations.
  • Develop strategies and ensure that all daily operations are managed and all retailer needs are met.
  • Work with team members to evaluate performance in the field. Etc.

<Requirements>

  • Applicants must have a U.S. work visa (OPT is not acceptable).
  • Beverage and food related sales experience is required.
  • Must be able to travel for this position.
