Sales Associate | Japanese Food Trading Company

We are looking for a Sales Associate to join our team at a leading Japanese food trading company located in Las Vegas, Nevada.

As the principal selling agent for the company, the Sales Associate will be responsible for achieving the short and long-term sales objectives of the Institutional Customer Division. The goal is to maintain existing customers within the assigned area. A high level of flexibility is required for this position. The role involves coordinating sales activities and promotions with other employees, company administrators, and customers and clients, respecting their needs, concerns, and schedules.

**Job Description:**

  • Visit customer and potential customer facilities, providing information and support as needed to secure and maintain business.
  • Establish, maintain, and develop business, social, and civic relationships with customers in the assigned territory to maximize profitability.
  • Responsible for selling Wismettac products to all customers in the assigned territory.
  • Grow business by anticipating customer needs, determining appropriate solutions to business problems, and providing a high level of customer service.
  • Communicate plans to customers and effectively manage resources to support sales volume.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
  • Cooperate with the accounting department to ensure the collection of account receivables due.
  • Assist in establishing sales objectives for the territory in cooperation with the (Assistant) Sales Manager.
  • Collaborate with assigned Operations and Logistics staff to achieve territory sales goals.
  • Provide timely reporting of field activities to assist in business and product planning.
  • Submit sales activity reports and other reports as needed.
  • Participate in quarterly inventory counts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Bilingual in Korean or Japanese / English is required.

 

**Requirements:**

– Valid U.S. work visa (Green Card, U.S. Citizenship)

**Education/Experience/Training:**
– High school diploma or GED; 1-2 years of sales experience in the Asian food industry is preferred; familiarity with food products and services; basic computer skills (familiarity with word processing software); excellent oral and written communication skills; valid driver’s license.

**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**

  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with sales staff, management, and clients
  • Strong communication and conversation skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
  • Ability to quickly and accurately verify, draft, and update databases
  • Ability to travel to customer locations
  • Ability to learn Oracle ERP software
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under various time constraints
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities as workload fluctuates; multitask and keep projects progressing simultaneously

Salary $43,100-57,300 (based on experience) + bonus ranging from 0 – 55% of their salary + mileage reimbursement
