Sales Representative | Japanese Manufacturing Company

A Japanese manufacturing company located in Fort Lee, New Jersey is seeking candidates for a Sales position.

 

<Job Summary>
This position to create a broad range of connections in the industry and drive sales revenue.

 

<Responsibilities>
• Builds long-lasting relationships with potential and existing customers by understanding their needs.
• Plans and designs promotional items to drive more sales volume.
• Develops pricing and new product strategies.
• Generates new business from potential and existing customers.
• Creates, plans and delivers presentations on company products for customers.
• Negotiates order volume, price, delivery due, etc. with customers.
• Researches and analyzes prospect clients’ information.
• Plans and organizes meetings with clients and brings sales and technical service team from suppliers.
• Plans, prepares and puts up a display booth at trade shows and other events.
• Maintains technical knowledge and networks by attending reviewing professional publications,
establishing personal networks and participating in industry events.
• Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, etc.
Miscellaneous:
• Handles incoming/outgoing phone calls of company’s main line and office visitors.
• Performs, collects and updates necessary documentation, filing and listing.
• Performs clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning & printing, sending/receiving fax, letters, ordering
office supplies and cleaning if necessary.
• Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace.
• Reports all irregular issues and problems to manager(s) and works to resolve those issues.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures.
• Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by superior

 

<Requirements>
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, business administration, marketing, economics or related field is preferred.
•B2B sales experience is required (5+ years preferred).
•Basic knowledge of chemistry is a plus.
• General office equipment including phones, fax, copier, scanner, personal computer, calculator, etc.
• Software includes the use of Windows operating system and MS Office applications.
•Comprehensively leverage skills in competitive analysis, marketing, negotiation, presentation, problem-solving,
product knowledge, sales, supplier relationship management, and interpersonal and communication skills.
