Cafe Manager | Japanese Restaurant

Job Summary
The Manager will be responsible for overseeing overall restaurant operations.

In addition to daily restaurant operations, this role will lead staff training, shift management, sales and cost control, inventory management, back-office tasks, and communication with headquarters and vendors.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall restaurant operations
  • Handle customer service and improve service quality
  • Communicate and report to headquarters in Japan
  • Coordinate with suppliers and business partners
  • Manage employee schedules, training, and follow-up
  • Manage sales, food cost, and labor cost
  • Conduct inventory checks, stock management, and ordering
  • Prepare daily reports and handle various back-office tasks
  • Propose and implement improvements to restaurant operations
  • Perform other duties related to restaurant operations

 

Requirements

  • Japanese-English bilingual skills
  • Candidates authorized to work in the United States are welcome
    • Candidates currently residing in Japan who do not have a U.S. work visa may also discuss E visa application support or visa transfer options
  • 3+ years of experience as a Store Manager or Manager in a restaurant environment
  • Must own a vehicle and be comfortable driving in the Los Angeles area
  • Familiarity with Japanese corporate culture
  • Ability to provide courteous customer service with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Team-oriented attitude
  • Food Handler Certification, or willingness to obtain certification
  • Spanish language skills preferred

給与Salary $71,000 – $80,000 per year, DOE
