A well-established Japanese food manufacturer located in the Chino, California area is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join its growing team.
This position plays a key role in the company’s rebranding and brand enhancement phase, supporting product development, brand strategy, and integrated marketing initiatives across multiple functions.
The role also offers strong growth potential, with the opportunity to develop into a Marketing Manager candidate in the future.
<Key Responsibilities>
1. Product & Market Research
Research consumer trends, preferences, and purchasing behavior within food categories
Conduct competitive analysis to identify new product opportunities and untapped market areas (white space)
Stay up to date on food, cooking, and food industry trends
2. Product Development Support & Coordination
Participate in new product concept development
Coordinate with suppliers, designers, and internal cross-functional teams
Support evaluation of samples, packaging specifications, and product compliance
Collaborate with the production team to ensure alignment between product positioning and quality
3. Marketing Planning & Execution
Plan and execute integrated marketing initiatives across offline, digital, social media, in-store, and email channels
Manage timelines and deliverables for new product launches and seasonal promotions
4. Content Creation & Communication
Create and edit product descriptions, packaging copy, advertising materials, and digital content
Support creative production using tools such as Canva and CapCut
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with sales and production teams to execute launch strategies
Facilitate internal communication regarding product development and marketing progress
6. Performance Measurement & Optimization
Monitor marketing and product performance metrics
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
7. Event & Trade Show Support
Prepare samples and promotional materials for trade shows and tasting events
Represent products and communicate brand stories to consumers and buyers on-site
<Required Skills & Qualifications>
· 2–3 years of experience in product marketing, food marketing, or a related field (preferably in food or CPG)
· Ability to handle basic cooking tasks (e.g., product testing, recipe content, events)
· Interest in Japanese or Asian cuisine and food culture
· Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
· Basic knowledge of major social platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube
· Experience with Canva, CapCut, or other basic design/video tools (preferred)
<Preferred Qualifications >
· Experience with photo and video shooting
· Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator
· Experience with WordPress
· Understanding of Google Analytics and/or Google Ads
· Experience in brand development or product launch planning
· Event coordination or trade show support experience
