Kitchen Staff | Japanese Restaurant

A Japanese restaurant located in San Diego, California is seeking a full-time Kitchen Staff member to join the team.

 

<Job Responsibilities>

  • Food preparation, cooking, plating, and preparation for service

  • Ingredient and inventory management (stock checks, ordering support, and waste control)

  • Sanitation, cleaning, and strict adherence to kitchen safety and hygiene standards

  • Supporting kitchen operations during peak service hours

  • Team-based execution of tasks by following instructions accurately

 

 

<Requirements>

  • 3–5 years of hands-on kitchen experience in a restaurant environment

  • English proficiency at a working level (able to understand instructions and communicate with the team)

  • Experience in ramen shops and/or izakaya-style restaurants, including cooking and service operations

  • Prior experience working in Japanese cuisine

  • Experience operating according to standard operating procedures (SOPs), including food safety and sanitation

  • Japanese language ability preferred

※ This position involves physically demanding work, including long hours standing and handling heavy items.
