A Japanese food trading company in El Monte, California is looking for an IT Assistant Manager.
<Job Description>
Work with 3rd party IT vendors to configure and install various network equipment and services (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS, etc.).
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Monitor system resource utilization, trends and capacity planning.
Provide level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
Work with company security team to select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures.
Answer customer questions regarding products, procedures, and payments.
Plan, design, and monitor security arrangements to protect network systems.
Maintain firewalls, virtual private networks, web protocols, and email security.
Support Windows servers. (VMWare, AD, WSUS, FS, Exchange 365, SharePoint)
Internet and WAN network infrastructure support.
Creation and management of drawings and other technical documentation.
IT asset management. etc.
<Requirements>
Bilingual Japanese-English preferred.
Must be able to work weekends and evenings.
Occasional in-state or out-of-state travel required.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (computer science or information technology) or equivalent education, training, and experience.
3+ years of computer networking experience.
Two to three years of management experience preferred.
