A major Japanese logistics company in Torrance, CA is looking for an Import/Export Logistics Coordinator.
<Job Summary>
Under the direction of the Import/Export Customer Service Manager, the Import/Export Customer Service Manager is responsible for incoming and outgoing imports and exports. Specifically, the main responsibilities include customs procedures, shipping arrangements, document processing, customer service, and invoice processing.
<Job Description>
- Processes incoming and outgoing imports and exports in accordance with internal regulations and relevant regulations for imports and exports.
- Perform related tasks such as customs procedures and documentation.
- Track shipments and communicate with customers.
- Manage import-related documentation and arrange shipping.
- Performs export-related tasks and arranges air shipments.
- Provide services to customers and process billing.
- Performs work in accordance with specific requirements and instructions.
- Receive, review, generate, and process documents related to shipments.
- Schedule pickup and delivery of shipments and coordinate with truckers and carriers as required by customers.
- Prepare import/export reports and submit to customers and management as required.
- Investigate incoming and outgoing shipment issues and complaints and address as necessary.
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
<Requirements>
- At least 2 years of experience as an import/export agent and coordinator
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
