<Job Summary>

  • Prepare and cook authentic Japanese dishes such as sushi, sashimi, tempura, and kaiseki with high standards of taste and presentation.

  • Ensure consistency and quality in all dishes served to guests.

  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain smooth service and timely delivery.

  • Manage ingredient preparation, portioning, and mise en place for daily service.

  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment following food safety and sanitation guidelines.

  • Assist in inventory management and communicate supply needs to management.

  • Uphold the restaurant’s hospitality standards and the tradition of Japanese cuisine.

 

 

<Requirements>

  • Valid work authorization for the U.S.
  • Japanese Bilingual

  • Proven experience as a Japanese cuisine chef in a high-end or authentic Japanese restaurant.

  • Strong skills in sushi, sashimi, tempura, and/or kaiseki preparation.

  • Knowledge of Japanese ingredients, cooking techniques, and presentation standards.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
