A Japanese omakase-style sushi restaurant located in Miami, Florida is currently seeking a Head Sushi Chef.

This restaurant is a newly started sushi establishment and is owned by a highly skilled chef.

This restaurant’s goal is to achieve a Michelin star, and we operate with a small team.

This position is ideal for those who want to refine their omakase sushi skills, thrive in a creative environment, and work in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

＜Job Responsibilities＞

1. Ingredient Preparation and Cooking
Properly slice and prepare fresh seafood and vegetables, and cook sushi ingredients.

2. Sushi Preparation and Presentation
Create and present beautifully plated sushi dishes by combining vinegared rice and ingredients according to the omakase-style menu.

3. Menu Development
Propose new sushi ideas to the owner chef using creative concepts, and develop menu items that align with seasons and trends.

4. Customer Service
Communicate with customers across the counter, promptly addressing requests and feedback. Serve sushi tailored to customer preferences and allergies.

5. Hygiene Management
Maintain kitchen and cooking equipment cleanliness, and ensure hygiene standards while cooking ingredients.

6. Teamwork and Collaboration
Collaborate with the owner chef and manager to ensure smooth operations.

7. Inventory Management
Place orders for seafood and ingredients, manage inventory, and ensure a fresh supply of ingredients at the appropriate times.

＜Requirements＞

・Must possess a valid US work visa.
・Minimum of 2 years of experience in preparing omakase-style sushi.
・Ability to communicate in English.
