A major Japanese gas company in Houston, Texas is looking for an individual to fill the position of Supervisor of Solar Panels.
This is a hybrid work opportunity (3-4 times a week required). (Must come to work 3-4 times a week)
<Job Summary>
This position is for a Site Supervisor who manages the operations of a solar PV site.
The Site Supervisor is responsible for maintaining high performance of solar sites in Texas by managing O&M service providers and other vendors. Specifically, the Site Supervisor will review deliverables submitted by O&M service providers to ensure that the providers are meeting the requirements of the O&M contract and complying with PUCT/ERCOT requirements by submitting documentation.
<Job Description>
*Review operations and maintenance activities and plans for preventive and corrective maintenance.
*Monitor site performance through SCADA platform and on-site verification and notify O&M service provider of any issues.
*Drive continuous improvement efforts to achieve the highest plant performance.
*Assist in the management of spare parts based on the inventory tracking system maintained by the O&M Service Provider.
*Work with O&M Service Provider and Warranty Contractor to advance warranty claims.
*Immediately notify internal and external parties of any events that have a significant impact on the power plant.
*Coordinate warranty work with contractors and manage root cause analysis of recurring defects.
*Coordinate warranty work with vendors for extended warranty work not covered by the contractor.
*Work with internal groups and outside vendors to ensure that the project meets all applicable requirements of ERCOT, PUCT, NERC, and FERC, including security and maintenance activities.
*Be familiar with and ensure compliance with all contracts related to the operation of the power plant.
*Provide monthly and annual reports to internal and external stakeholders.
*Requires working 3-4 days per week on site (in Texas) and traveling to other sites and the Houston office.
<Requirements>
At least 5 years of experience in operations and maintenance or construction of solar projects of 20 MW or more.
At least 3 years of experience in solar or renewable energy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Knowledge of IT peripherals.
Employment Status | Full Time *For the first three months after joining, the position will be as a contract employee. From the fourth month onward, it will transition to a full-time position. |
